REALITY TV star, Christine Brown, opened up in November to explain why she left her husband after 25 years of marriage.
Christine is a member of TLC’s Sister Wives and is speaking out about her decision to leave her husband, Kody.

What is Sister Wives?
Sister Wives is known as a TLC reality TV show that centers around Kody Brown and his four wives.
The show gives viewers an inside look at the rare world of a polygamist family and documents the Browns alongside their combined 18 children.
The show first premiered on September 26, 2010, and season 18 aired on August 20, 2023.
Why did Sister Wives’ Christine and Kody Brown split?
Christine revealed on Instagram on November 2, she and Kody were parting ways after years of marriage problems.
“After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart and I have made the difficult decision to leave,” she wrote.
“We will continue to be a strong presence in each other’s lives as we parent our beautiful children and support our wonderful family.
“At this time, we ask for your grace and kindness as we navigate through this stage within our family. With love, Christine Brown.”
Following Christine’s announcement, Kody took to Twitter to release his own statement.
“Christine’s decision to leave comes with a great deal of sadness,” Kody wrote. “We enjoyed many years together and I have a large amount of respect and admiration for her.
“Although we are moving forward on different paths, we will always remain committed parents.”
Christine decided not to spend the holidays with Kody and her sister wives, and instead traveled to Utah to spend time with her family.
She made the decision after Kody laid out Covid-19 restrictions ahead of the holiday, which Christine said she could not and would not agree to.
“It’s as much respect as it is loyalty, I suppose,” Kody said during Sunday’s episode. “How you love a man is to respect him. And so I’m sitting here just appreciating where I’m at and who’s with me.”
However, Christine said spending a quiet Christmas with her family “was cozy and no drama.”
In an episode from January 2021, Christine said, “I do like my independence. I really do. When Kody’s around, it’s fine.
“We do have a tendency to have more fun when he’s not there though.”
Speculation of Christine and Kody’s split began in November 2020 after it was revealed Kody had sold the family home to Christine.
A few months later, Christine moved to Utah, leaving Kody and her sister wives Meri, Janelle, and Robyn, 43, behind in Arizona. Since then, Meri Janelle have also separated from Kody.

Do Christine and Kody have children together?
Throughout the course of their 25-year marriage, the couple welcomed six children together including Mykelti, Aspyn, Ysabel, Paedon, Gwendlyn, and Truely.
Following their split, Christine vowed to co-parent with Kody when it comes to raising Truley since all of their other children have since moved out.
